Statement
Jane Cattlin is a UK-based designer and painter. She paints in Acrylic, Watercolour and Oil and her infectious ‘joie de vivre’ approach shines through her work. The passion she has for her favourite subjects – the figures, portraits, clothing etc – is palpable. Her generous output of work is evidence of her enthusiasm for painting, together with an unstoppable desire to put her many ideas on canvas or paper.
Apart from her skill with fabric, pattern and texture, Jane’s love of colour is also evident in her work. As a successful Fashion Designer in London, her background undoubtedly informs the way she observes the world, from which she selects themes as inspiration for her work. Her paintings, so full of energy, are decisive and bold, resulting from a wonderful foundation of knowledge and experience.
